Kennimer x Rit Dye
Ben and Bonnie Kennimer are a collaborative and complementary team pushing boundaries in the fashion industry. We’ve partnered with the duo behind the Kennimer brand to launch a new fashion line and their very own custom Color Formulas perfect for center stage.
Ben is a master hat maker, and Bonnie, is a talented fashion designer based in Austin, Texas. Together they run Kennimer, a business specializing in western stage wear.
Ben started making hats as a side trade and Bonnie found her start in costumes and vintage in Austin. The duo became the ultimate western-wear makers with an expansive client list that includes the Jonas Brothers, Leon Bridges, Nikki Lane , Khruangbin, Gary Clark jr. and more. You might have seen their designs featured in Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone and GQ. Their work has also been showcased in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Met Gala.
Bonnie began using Rit when she was a young child in Houston, Texas as it was a staple in her home. Growing up she used the dye to refresh clothing. Rit was the go-to when she began to incorporate dye into her custom fashion pieces for Kennimer.
In collaboration with Rit Dye, Kennimer has created a unique and one-of-a-kind collection that features two exclusive custom color formulas: Kennimer Gold and Rosalie Orange
Kennimer Gold has been a staple in Kennimer’s high quality designs and Rosalie orange is reminiscent of the Texas sunsets in the Kennimer’s own backyard. The result is a collection of vibrant hues and timeless western flair.
